In July of 1999, we made a trip to Germany and Poland to visit my Granparents' (Bruno & Annemarie Bliwernitz) homeland, to tour Germany and to celebrate Horst & Ruthe Bliwernitz's 50th Wedding Anniversery in Hardegsen.
Michelle and I started out visiting cousin Kristina West in Berlin where she was living for the summer. We spent 3 days exploring Berlin which was very interesting. We went from there (with Kristina) to Gdansk where we met up with my Mom & Dad, Rita & family and my Mom's brother Henning & wife Anne. We made a 3 day visit of Gdansk and the farms where the Bliwernitz family originated. I wrote a journal of that trip. If you're interested in reading it

From there we scattered about Germany and then ended the trip with the big anniversery celebration in Hardegsen.
These pictures are from my digital camera. We took a lot more pictures with a 35mm camera and will add to the photos when we get some of the prints scanned.
